Re: JIM (LIMBER) Davis-last seen 1865

His photograph appears in Bell Irwin Wiley's "EMbattled Confederates"
.p. 237. A thought came to me-possibly there are clues in the following:
1) A list of Free negroes in the Old Freedman Bureau records for Richmond {First Military District} of a orphan boy formerly property of
Jefferson Davis possibly listed as JIM LIMBER or JIM DAVIS -possibly he
was placed in a colored church orphanage orgization or adopted.
2) The 1870 Feberal Census for Richmond showing a young negro boy born about 1850-1855 First name Jim Last Name either Limber or Davis
The above may not be much but possibly they could be enough to find out
his ultimate fate.
