Thank you! As you are aware, I haven't had to search slave records YET since my ancestors ... Goins, Adams, Stevens ... come from a long line of FPOC. The only one that may have been a slave, according to oral family history, would have been my paternal great-grandfather, Augustus McCuen. According to that oral history, my grandmother's father was a slave and her mother (Almeda Sinnett) was NA, however I haven't found anything to substantiate that ... yet. Irita
