On May 10, 1856, Elisha Burke bought Jane, age 27, and her four children from Joseph Webb and his wife for $970.

The four children were:
Rose, age 8
Fanney, age 3
Exum, age 2,
Charles, an infant.

This information is from a document that I saw in the museum in Helena, Arkansas among the Burke family papers.

I also looked up Elisha Burke on the 1860 Slave Schedules and saw that he had 35 slaves at that time. He died in 1860, and I hope to get a copy of his will.
