AfriGeneas Genealogy Club

Just a reminder!

The AfriGeneas Genealogy Book Club debuts:

Tuesday, January 8, 2002
at 7:30 PM at
Bowie Town Center
Barnes & Noble Book Store
Bowie, MD 20715

The book store is located at Route 197 and Northview Drive in Bowie, MD.
Ample free parking!

The suggested book is genealogy related. However, we can make a final determination at our meeting.

Every Tongue Got to Confess : Negro Folktales from the Gulf States
by Zora Neale Hurston; Carla Kaplan (Editor), John Edgar Wideman
(Introduction)
HarperCollins Publishers
ISBN 0-06-018893-6

George Geder and I chose this book as one that we can share with both online and offline members. We also plan to have a follow-up chat next month. Details to follow.

The focus of the first meeting is primarily introductory and organizational in nature. We also hope to solicit ideas from attendees and plan a preliminary agenda for the rest of the year. We will meet the second Tuesday of every month. E-mail me if you need more information. See you there!
