I am researching a negro Kenner family that lived in Edgefield, SC, as slaves. 1870 census showed two negres, Nancy (born in GA, 1790), and Richmond Kenners. Richmond son, Wyatt, born 1862, wrote his father was brought from Virginia. Believe they may have been slaves of a Kenner family, but I can not find any Kenners living in either Georgia or South Carolina. Hope you have any information of this family, because I am stuck. If you do, could you tell me where they lived in SC and/or GA. Any records, deeds, slave purchases, Will, etc., would be very helpful.
