What became of the slaves on a Georgia Plantation

Wondering if anyone knows where I would look to see if there is a list of the slaves that were sold during the big slave auction in Savannah, Georgia by Pierce Butler. In a document I recently read, Pierce was expecting 1/3 of the money at the time of purchase and the last two installments provided annually. This tells me there had to be some type of documentation kept to keep track of who owed what.

I am particularly interested in this information because my GG grandfather was born in Georgia, and although he is the only one in his household in the 1870 census born in Georgia, there are others in the same area in Texas that are also born in Texas and have the same last name. According to Doesticks writings, the slaves were sold in families.

Anyone have information on this subject?
