I sat and read this with tears in my eyes.I cannot accept the mistreatment of our people. Now that I am past my tears,the name Dorcas popped up.We know that our ggggm Dorcas was bought directly from the auction block in Charleston, but prior to that, we know nothing. When she was bought, she was 19 with a 4 mos old son name Jeferson.That story of Jeferson and Dorcas really has me going.Although, they did not marry, I am wondering could this be my ggggm? It gives me hope that I may find her origin one day.
