Re: Baskerville slave records - att. Lloyd
I am very interested in the following slave names that lived on the Baskerville plantation:
Fanny, Sally Cole, Edmond, and Mansy Cole.
Part of my family tree list as follows:
Fanny, live on the Baskerville Plantation. One of Fanny's daughters was Sally Cole. Sally gave birth to Mary (listed a mullato in 1870 census Mecklenburgh Co. Va Flat Creek Districk, when she was married to a Edmond Hudson). One of Mary's daughter Eliza is also listed in the census at 16. Eliza Hudson is my gggrandmother. She married a Hart/Hartwell Eubanks in 1874 (I have a copy of the license, which list Harts parents Mary and Charles as witnesses), who later had my grandfather, John Sr, who married a Mary Locket, and had my dad John Eubanks Jr. who married Carleise Mason and had me. I've recieved info past to me by another family researcher who wrote that Eliza's father was one of the Baskerville plantation owners or relatives named Charles. I have not be able to verify that info because my relative has since past away, but left his family research papers from when he visted Mecklenburgh VA. Also two of Mary's cousin are Britton and Briton Baskerville (father and son) Briton can be found in the VA almanc. He is listed as an educator scholar and politian. Thanks to another family researcher who found that info for me. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
