I think you misunderstood. There were no BLANCHARDs or SCALES in the book at all for any of the counties. I only posted the Rockingham County info because it was all contained on one page, and I figured someone might get something out of it. Unfortunately, the Chowan County listings cover 26 pages with multiple entries on each page, but still none of them show the name BLANCHARD. I will however give a list of some of the names of the slaves I see on those Chowan County pages, and if anyone sees anything that might be theirs, I will post the entire entry for it.
