The Arkansas History Commission is a great place--Little Rock, AR. They have microfilm from all Arkansas counties--marriage, probate, tax, ect. Also if you're researching southwest Arkansas, the old Washington, Arkansas library/museum has quite a few archived/microfilm records, including newpapers from the early 20th century. I found a news article that recorded my great grandfathers death.

Also the Arkansas History Commission has quite a few Freedmen Bureau records for select counties. Not just the "Bank" records but contracts/disputes/medical attention records, ect.
