My ancestors were probably displaced slaves? I've had to rely on some DNA matches
to follow their lineage,Because often only first names were given & they they changed masters & surnames over time,
Most of these DNA matches for my ancestors have been consistent over the past 4 years during my research but they are also problematic & occurred during mixing in slavery era . I have not focused on in over 7 months to a year or so but it's still in my files.

GodBold & Gerald, Bryant, Harland , Colbert, Chavis, dit Guyon, Gaspar & An elusive Tuskegee woman with no real name..
Quite a few have Origins outside of the USA
(Germany,France.Switzerland and Spain.) That's a whole other area of study..
& as I've said many of them were traders or married to slave or fur traders.
I just set it aside for now
because it involve a different type of research
