Through my Large Slaveholder home page link below, you can find information on 3 Tayloe slaveholders in Marengo Co. AL, holding 115, 125 and 150 slaves. Also I have transcribed some information on Perry Co. AL that has not yet been put on the web site and it includes E. T. Tayloe holding 104 slaves at Woodville on page 474 of the 1860 slave census and W. H. Tayloe holding 152 on page 478, also at Woodville. I have transcribed Pickens also but it is not yet on line, and I did not note any large Tayloe holders there.

It is quite easy for a transcriber to interpret Tayloe as Taylor, so you will want to check all Taylor holders in your areas of interest also.
