Ahhh, you cleared up some info that I did not know about. I would side with the slave diary then. The children listed are definitely shafer/ Shaver's siblings that I found on the 1850 & 1860 census. Their fathers name keeps changing though Anderson White, Sandy, Shaw and Robert .....smh someone has to be right. I just started my research on this line 20 hrs ago, so please have some patience with me. I'm learning as I go. BTW, If its possible, I would love to speak with you over the phone. Email me! I recently took part in ancestry.com's autosomal DNA test. If any of you took the test, please let me know so I can see if we are related. I have a hunch, but I'm not 100% sure.....My mothers side of the family is from Nelson, Dinwiddie, Brunswick and York county also.....I'm wondering if its her DNA that Im picking up on and not my fathers....hmmmm
