My g.g.g.g.grandfather, John Dawkins, is shown in the 1810 Wood Co., VA (now WV) census. It showed that he had eight slaves (unknown). John Dawkins died April 10, 1840. In his inventory it showed that he had two slaves. One was Richard (a man) & the other was Daniel (a boy). I am very interested in trying to locate the families of Richard & Daniel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
