I'm doing some research on Josiah Walker and his wife Zelpha Walker (Young), as well as Josiah's brother, James Madison Walker and their mother Sarah Walker (maiden name was Settle).

All of the people listed above were born and raised in Rockingham County, NC but relocated to Tishomingo, MS in the early 1850's. I'm actually looking for more information on the slaves that they each owned.

I would be interested to see if any slaves were emancipated or if they are listed in this book at all.

Josiah and James' father died between 1845 and 1850 in Rockingham, NC. His name was Samual Herron Walker. I am hoping to find information on him as well.
