I was able to go back several generations of my family and find information in the census records. These include:

Oliver 1857

They all lived/were born in Gold Mine Twp, Franklin County, NC. Which borders Warren County, NC. Part of our family's land sits in both counties.

According to my dad, a man Alex Alston (white) always said that his family owned my gggg father Leroy. I have not found any evidence documenting that but I did traced the white line of Alstons.

Maybe it might help others. These Alstons owned slaves that ended up in both Warren and Franklin Counties.
