Re: Spivey Plantation - Eatonton, Putnam, GA

I'm also researching Spivey's from Georgia because there might be a connection to my Johnson family. Both families lived in Fort Valley, GA in 1870.

Loyd & Louisa Johnson
Stephen & Polly Spivy (on later census it's spelled Spivey)

Around 1875 my Johnson family and the Spivey's moved to Arkansas and the families remained close (living near each other or together) through what I've found in later census 1880-1930.

I've been following SpiveyEdwards posts here and on Ancestry which have been very helpful. Thank you SpiveyEdwards.

So far I haven't been able to trace my Johnson family prior to 1870. I'm hoping that the Spivey connection will help me.
