Re: "Free White Mulattoes" in 1860

It must also be pointed out that, though there are many human errors, there may be important factual information overlooked because of one or a few peoples nay-saying. I have been searching for several years for information about my ancestors. To date, there is only one line from my great-grandmother that has not been traceable, and all others I have been able to reasearch many many generations back. The information I have (verified) from an uncle, with photographs and other documentation, verifies my info to date. I am of American Indian descent. No other lines show a connection. I have proof of my heritage from another source. The one key piece of ancestry is missing. I have the Indian name, white name ancestry, but not her "given" white name, and no government land issue #. No one has reason to hide this info or make it up. This is one of the few sources on the internet or anywhere I have found where a directly proven lineal name appears, and appears also on the Dawes Rolls. So, Mr. Clark may very well have been onto something, and I am not so quick to label his "research" bunk. Thank you, B. Pullin
