I located a descendant of one of the slaveholders of one of my great great grandmothers. He was looking for other people who could give him information about his ancestors and mentioned that he had ancestral family papers with information he would be willing to share. I contacted him and told him that my ancestor was held in slavery by his ancestor, and asked if he could look for information about her and her family. He is searching his papers and said he would get back to me soon! Keep your fingers crossed for me!
