Deloris, I do know slavery ended in 1865, i was just affiliating my studies of my fore father Ben Eaton in comparison to the Eaton Family in Gransville, North Carolina because through genetic DNA his fore fathers were Caucasian men from the British isles or Germania, now, i am a register of Ancestry.com and i myself is a Historian, Geneaologist, Biblical scientist, and a student in social demography and culural etymology... My goal is to link my great grand father, Ben Eaton, to William Eaton, who was a Slave owner amongst others with the Eaton surname. If I am not a direct descendent of any Eaton family members in N.C. then another Eurasian man with a differnet or similiar surname fathered the MULATTO fore bearer of this EATONIC FAMILY.

Deloris, if their any info about William Eaton and his slaves please contact me...
