Thank you so much for the links, they were very helpful. And yes, I incorrectly stated Louisiana as the daughter of Julien Sidney, but she was his sister. The father was John W. Devereux. Did your Mary have a son that was born in Alabama approx 1836? In the book by Winfrey (pp 143-1440, sec 5), Julien list by name the 56 slaves left to his two sons Albert and Julien. I will continue to look at Louisiana and the father. Any suggestions?
