Deloris,
From what I remember when I studied the census' I foound RObert and Sarah Eaton only in the 1900 census. I do remember looking at the 1880 census, but I may have to go back and re-read it. When you say look for white families who were around what exactly did you mean and how do I do this. I think I get what your saying but I want to be sure I go about it correctly. I did get some slave schedules from Allen and they are helpful but as you know the slaves have no names Robert Eaton was born around 1828 and that makes him an adult slave at the time of the slave schedules that ALlen gave me (1850 & 1860) I will go back although it is very challenging, but I'm up to the challenge. Thanks so much and I welcome anymore tips or advice I will need it.
