The white EATON family are descended from William EATON, died 1759 in Granville Co., one of the earliest settlers in the old Granville/now Warren Co. area. There are lots of records out there for this family including William's 1759 will, who was the original builder of the Eaton's Ferry, where the archeological dig was done. I know that Allen is researching the EATONs in Warren and he may be able to help you with some of the names, too. There are ample records on the family at the USGenweb County websites of Granville & Warren, which are also searchable by clicking onto the tabs at the top of the website pages.
