Excellent point Allen......The information/contents of an abstract are what appears to be important to the "abstractor". The abstract can and will often leave out information that may be extremely important to an individual researcher.
I guess the lesson is to to go to the "source" material from where the information was abstracted when possible. Don't assume the abstract tells the whole story.
Your message is very "right on" as it relates to abstracts.
