I am just elated over the information that you found
for me. From that information, I am gathering that
my Branchus is the Branches in the will. I am
interpreting that if that is correct than his
sister is Harriet. Cuddy is the mother of both
Branches and Harriet. Cuddy's parents are Isaac
and Nanny. Also that Isaac and Nanny had Cornelius,
Nancy, Mansfield, Mat, Nat and Ira. I did not
see a connection with the second Cuddy that was
further down in the will. Please to share with me
if you saw a different intrepretion.
I was so happy with the additional two generations to
my family that I have purchased the Abstracts of Wills
Warren County, North Carolina Vol I and II. Though I
found the Slave owner, William Eaton, Sr and Martha P
(his wife), in the vol. II, it did not have more information
in respect to the slaves by name. I did notice a mark
on William Eaton's will so I'm assuming there is an
original will that may have much more information.
I am aware that personal papers of William Eaton is
located at University of NC at Chapel. I guess my
next task to further this research is a trip to NC
to view the papers.
I am curious to know if you are aware of any other
books that I might want to consider to read in
reference to research in Warren county.
