I believed I must have copied this when I went to Salt Lake City. It may be of some use or help us ADAM researchers. It does no good to have information and not share with the Forum. All of you do so much to help me climb this brick wall.

(1)STEPHEN ADAMS DEED TO JOHN F MILLS

This indenture made and entered into this 13th day of November 1847 between Stephen A. Adams and Mary Ann Adams his wife of the first part and John F. Mills of the second part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand and six hundreds dollars ($1,600.oo) hath this day doth bargain, sell and convey a certain Lot of land situated in the Town of Aberdeen, County of Monroe and state of Mississippi known in the plan of said Town of Old Aberdeen as the South West quarter of Block No. 75, containing 2 1/2 acres more or less, it being the lot on which said Stephen A. Adams lately resided with all the building improvements and appurtenances thereunto beloning.

TRUSTEES OF ABERDEEN DEED TO STEPHEN ADAMS

This Indenture made and entered into this 13th day of October 1836 between Henry Anderson, George Wightman and Osborn D Herndon, Trustees of the Town of Aberdeen of the one part and Stephen Adams of Pontotoc, Mississippi of the other part Witnesseth: That the parties of the first part have this day bargained and sold and by these present doth bargain and sell unto the said Stephen Adams his heirs and assigns a Certain lot of Land situated in the town of Aberdeen and State of Mississippi known and designated in the plan of said Town as the South West quarter of Block Number 75 containing by Estimation two and one half(2 1/2) acres more or less for in consideration of the sum of one dollar ($1) to the parties of the first part in hand paid.

In testimony they have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and date above written.

Know all men by these Presents: That I, Stephen Adams of Aberdeen, Mississippi for and in consideration of the natural love and affection I bear to my daughter Mary Elizabeth Adams and for the further consideration that my late wife Alpha Adams the mother of said Mary E. Adams hath aided me in making all the property I now possess, I therefore hereby give, grant and convey to said Mary E Adams for and during her natural life for her sole and seperate use the following NEGROES to wit: MALINDA and her two children JIM and TOM, Slaves, for life and their natural increase and at her death to her issue (if she should have any) in fee simple, and in the event she should die without issue of her body, then to her heirs at law and I hereby deliver the possession of said Negroes to said Mary E Adams, so far as the same can be done, her being a minor and living with me, the said Negroes to continue as aforesaid for her seperate support and maintenance, and not to be subject to the contracts, debts or default of any person whatsoever. Given under my hand and seal this 13 day of June 1844.
