I have a copy of my Great Grandmother's Marriage License showing that she was married at Skinner's Tavern in 1908. This is located in Fairmont, WV. I was informed that it was very prestigious at that time to be married in a tavern. I also believe I was told that it is now an Elk's club or other civic type establishment. The "Authority" on the license looks to be H. K ash. I have no idea of this persons title.
