In Response To: Loudoun County VA slaves - transitions to freedom ()
I have a friend who is researching his family history. His forefather was Thomas William Cross born in Loudoun County, Virginia in 1826. It is said that he was born on a Lee plantation and that his father was white and his mother was a mulatto (last named Lee). If you come across any info related to this history, you can email me and I will email him. ( I am a white Cross descendant and we are helping each other to research our past).
