1860 Slave Schedule ... Fugitive

I have looked at this 1860 slave schedule hundred of times and never notice the tic marks (?) in the Fugitive column before yesterday... In that column is also a marking for the 3 year old male child who I believe is the son of the 29 female...

My theory is the female is the concubine of my GGG-Grand Uncle who is listed as the slave owner and the boy is their oldest son. Over the next approx 16 years she would have additional children with him.

They are probably listed as Fugitives because they both were used as security/mortage in the family meetings/succession proceeding of his deceased wife.

It's a long story that I will have to write about and post at Afrigeneas Talking.
