Please help. I am looking for a Samantha Moore, who was a slave from Virginia Probably between the war of 1812 to the civil war sometime. She worked at a Moore farm in Virginia and had to take her master's name. I think she eventually escaped after one unsucessful attempt. I desperately need any information or guidance as to how to find this information. She had a daughter that eventually made it to Canada but that's all I know. Please help if you have any information!!
