Re: TX Burial site ( Behn )
In Response To: Re: TX Burial site ( Behn ) ()
Thank you for checking for John Behn. I know that the 'Dallas Behn' is a relative and I am trying to make the connection. I have heard his name through family conversations; and therefore, Vernell would be a relative also. I got the date of death for John Behn from my grandfather's log book. Other than that, I have no documentation whatsoever. John was the oldest of five children, births ranging from 1854 to probably around 1864. His siblings were Frederick Hill Behn, Sr., Henry Behn, Prince Albert Behn and Pearl Behn. Their mother, Nancy Green, resided with John and his family in 1900, according to the census. No record of her after that.
I have found the family line for Frederick Hill Behn and Prince Albert Behn. I have no information as to any family line of Henry Behn or Pearl Behn. Frederick and Prince relocated to the state of Oklahoma with their families sometimes during the 20s or 30s. I have seen that there are some Behns in Florida and suspect that they are relatives and possibly the family line of Henry, but I'm not sure. No leads on Pearl at all. It is more difficult to trace females because their names change when the marry and if you don't know the name of the husband, it's almost impossible. Thank you for all your help.
