Re: TX Burial site ( Behn )

Unfortunately, I did not find a death record for your John 'Behn'.
I looked for Bane(s), Bend, Behn(s), Been(s), Baine(s) and Bein(s) with no luck.
The following deaths were recorded in Waller County, TX.
1. Addie Bains d. 1944
2. Vernell Behn d. 1938

Addie was a widow who lived in Brookshire, TX. Her parents were William and Mollie Rhone (?). Royal Funeral Home was in charge, with burial in Brookshire Cemetery. The informant was Ms/Mrs. George.

Vernell was buried in Hempstead Cemetery. His parents were Walter and Dallas Behn. Singleton Funeral Home was in charge.

There was also a Willie Bains who died in 1917. The film was 'out'. I'll look again tomorrow.

Looking at these and other deaths in Waller county, I noticed that some African Americans were buried in Hempstead, Brookshire, Houston (?), Oakwood and Pattison cemeteries. Many spent time in Prairie View Hospital.

Did you find his date of death on another document? Did he have any siblings?

More later...
