Re: Bell & Little of North Carolina
In Response To: Re: Bell & Little of North Carolina ()
Hi Dawn, Thanks for the information. Im not suprised that there was so little of it. That has always been the challenge of my mothers family Im afraid:) My grandmother Tenner was the youngest of all her siblings. Are there older census reports that would contain more information on all of the children of Henry and Fannie Little as well as their parents etc.? Also I have more information on her siblings from notes that I had taken from my grandmother a few years ago (I just located them tonight as I am back at home: Siblings: Jim Rogers (wife Fessie?), Bill, Joseph, John Henry, Livinia, Ophelia, Sudie (married Lawrence Willard), Mary Amanda (married JT Brown) My grandmother Tenner had a first cousin named Henry Rogers who had a daughter named Clemmy? My grandmother said that her grandmother was Fannie Rogers and her grandfather was Jim Rogers. Fannie Rogers grew up in the Beargrass community (which it appears you are onthe right track)Fannie Rogers attended Hickory baptist Church. My grandmother Tenner is a member of Sandy Point MBC in Jamesville NC I believe. Eli Bell apparently had 3 brothers and 3 sisters: Hannah, Gene, Aaron, Bill. There is a mention in my notes about a Smitty's Chapel but I don't recall what we spoke of in reference to it. Thanks for all of your help. I know that this one may be a challenge but anything that you can give us would be helpful and greatly appreciated. Sharon
