Thanks for the feed-back Denise. My Day ancestors are as follows: My gggg grandmother was Lucy Day (abt 1825), I found her and her children on the 1870 census in Rapides,in Halifax, NC. Her children were Winnie Day (my ggg grandmother, abt 1847 who married George Evans) Rebecca Day (abt 1851), Cora Day (abt 1856, she married Daniel Clanton), Dollie Day (abt 1858, she married George Liverman & moved to Western Branch, Norfolk, Va), Nellie Day (abt 1860),Blunt Day (abt 1865) and Ransome Day-Eppes (abt 1868, His father was Issac Eppes, by the 1880 census Lucy Day was married to him)I am not sure if the family of Blake Day, who was living right next door was any relation, ironically enough my ggg grandfather George Evans was residing Blake Days hosue, and the Daniel Clanton that married my ggg aut Cora, resided in another Day household in the area. I believe they were all former slaves of Mary B. Day who also lived in the vicinity. Thanks again, Pamela
