Re: TX Burial site for John M. Behn

Peggy,

Try to find who might have handled the burial in the area and try to pursue whether they handled this one. A body is often examined and then officially pronounced deceased. Try to find who did the pronouncement and where. Home? Hospital? Etc.? Some did the transport. Someone may have documented it.

Check for obits in newspapers as well as the small handouts given at the funeral. Inquire about the guest list at the wake and funeral if you locate a funeral home that handled the burial. I have two guest books, but only recognized a few of the names signed in them. My subsequent research turned up some of the same names. Also check with a church whose minister might have presided over the funeral. The church might have records.

Researching John's wife and children might reveal information about John. Keep praying and trying.
