Tony, thank you for your help but you found the same information I did. Yes, David's name was written as Clarence but the Ezekiel family sent me a copy of David's Poole will and it is David as his name.

I have written the state of South Carolina for information on my grandfather and grandmother and they say they didn't exist. If it was for a Ezekiel family member of the Pooles we would not have gotten this far about our families.

I found my grandfather on a register for the military and it shows his date of birth as 12/25/1878 living in Mont Clare Darlington Sc. I have asked where was Mont Clare, Darlington Sc and was told its near the Pee Dee river as to where no one will say.

Why is South Carolina information always vague what are they hiding? Has anyone else had any problems with this state?
