Other books -- "Between Race and Ethnicity" contains a list of the packet ships that came over with CV immigrants & Mr. Paul Cyr donated the listing. Most CV's came into New Bedford on these packet ships (the most famous being the ERNESTINA (see internet).
Fortunate Isles by Basil C. Davidson & the aforementoned Antonio's Island are two other books that I would recommend to anyone just learning about the CV Islands.
