A little more information would help those unfamiliar with the area.

A brief Census History 1930-1880
In 1920, Willis and Jane Hendrix are in Union parish with two of their sons, Lonie and Starling. In 1910, Willie and Jane Hendrex are in Union Parish with 9 of their children. They have been married for '35 years' and have 15 living children (of 18 born). In 1900, Willis and Jane Hendrix are in Ward 5 of Union parish. They have been married for 30 years and have 14 living children (of 17 born). Both were born in Louisiana, per the census. In 1880, Willis and Jane are still in Ward 5 of Union parish with 5 children. A 67 year old 'mother', Matilda, is in the household. She was born in AL. In 1870, there is a 13 year old Willis Hendrick living in Ouachita parish, in the household of a 'Lewis' family. Don't know if this is the same Willis, but the birth year appears about right. ** Perhaps a search for 'Matilda' will show another Willis and/or siblings. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Also look for marriage records for the female siblings. Finding their married names will help locate them in the census and in the death index. Don't overlook Arkansas. Many of my North Louisiana relatives also moved back and forth across the border. I am also researching in the Union parish area.
