That's exactly where some of the older family members memory seems to fade (smiel), on the point on whether or not Sylvia was a half sister to Millie and the others or whether she was a step-sister but, no one as yet seems to know who was Sylvia's father? I could be stepping on some toes here (family skeletons, etc.) but, I've got to know.

Sylvia is not in the house with all the other four daughters and Eliza Norris in 1880. Why not? The "party-line" is that she's only a half sister to Marcus and Millie Norris but, how can that be possible, when Sonnie, Marcus, Mary, Dina, Susan and Millie all wear the NORRIS name? I also notice that in 1920 Census it says that Sylvia is from TX but in the 1910 Census it says she was born in SC?

Who are her parents? i found Sylvia this am on HeritageQuest in 1910 and the nearest Collier I find to her is a Henry Collier? I didn't see any BUOY's but, perhaps I didn't go far enough? Can you tell me who is in the BUOY household also?
