Re: Tracing PRICE-STEPHENS Family
In Response To: Re: Tracing PRICE-STEPHENS Family ()
Charles; So you're saying that you have ordered ALL of these records from either the State Health Department or Vital Records Department and NONE of them mentioned your grandmother's maiden name? What information was included in your grandmother's death certificate?
Did you check for a Social Security application for your father? I realize he died in 1945 and might not have signed up for Social Security, but it's still worth a try. With a death that early, it's doubtful that his information would appear in any of the online indices, so it's worth it to send a request directly to the Social Security Administration and have them do a search. I realize that you're hoping to find someone online who may have already done the research or who has personal knowledge of your family. But if you don't find that person, it sounds like there are additional research options you have yet to consider. At any rate, should you decide to do more research, we'll be more than happy to help you. Otherwise, I wish you all the best in your search. Be well. - Lisa B. Lee, PLCGS
