Born 3/17/1866 and died 4/8/1944 in Jackson County, Alabama in a house fire. She was raised by people named Avery who had a river boat and sold goods on the Tennessee River. Her family was all wiped out during the flue epidemic in late 1860's.
She was reportedly born on riverboat in Marion County, Tennessee, she was found there in 1870 census, found nothing on the Avery's or her since, except for the Avery woman being buried in Jackson County, Alabama. She was supposedly her aunt or maybe her husband was an uncle. They had a daughter Pauline that disappeared after 1870 census. Know Avery woman lived with the Barbers till she died.
