I'm one of those folks who finds Ancestry.com an invaluable resource, especially when it comes to doing U.S. Census research.

BUT!!! Before you spend a penny on Ancestry.com, check with your local public library ... many libraries provide FREE access to Ancestry.com via the library's website, from the convenience of your own home computer.

It's worth a shot. Good luck in your search.
