I don't know if this is your family, but I'll give it a try. I looked at the 1920 census for NY at the Childs families to see if there was one with a wife named Rosa and there was. This was what I found:

With the help of a lookup from Tony E (thanks) in 1930 I wanted to look at this same family. Here is what he found:

1930 New York, NY (W. 149 Street)

Childs, Rosa 42 VA
Childs, Walter Jr. 17 NY
Childs, Sarah 14 NY
Childs, Edith 12 NY
Childs, Bessie 8 NY
Childs, Jeraldine 6 NY
Childs, Hazel 4 NY
Childs, Arthur 2

I don't see a Precious Lee (could have been born later) Again, I'm not sure if this is your Rosa(lie) or not, but it'w worth looking into.
