In searching for information on my grandparents I stumbled upon a problem. The man I have always know as grandpa and always will, is not gandpa, or should I say is grandpa 2. My grandmother is Vivian

Landry, b. 03/08/1906, in Celilia,La, father, Edward Landry, mother Virginia Journet, according to the batism records. However, Vivian does not appear in the 1930 census, Lake Charles, Calcasieu parish, La, but my mother does as grandaughter Geraldine Daniels. In questioning my brothers and sisters, no one knows who my mothers father is, only to say that Vivian worked in a motel. I always wondered why everyone called grandpa Leaonard, uncle. I being the youngest of 7 was the only one who didn't know. Any suggestions of where to go from here?
