Misty, There were several William Boones in NC about your William's age in 1880. I don't know which one is him. You can see the 1880 Census for free at www.familysearch.org To find out Mary's name you could order a copy of Nellie's marriage certificate. In some states both the bride and groom were required to give the names of their mother and father (including the mother's maiden name). She would have married Granville Quiett between 1910 & 1914 in the indepedent city of Norfolk, VA. You could also go to a Family History Center near you and look through this microfilm. At least Mamie seems to have been born in the City of Norfolk. So her birth may be recorded. Check using both the name Mamie and Mary as Mamie was often used as a nickname for Mary and your Aunt may actually have been named for her mother. Title Birth registers, 1792-1896
