I am trying to find a little more on one my grandfather Joe Evans. According to 1910 census of Abbeville, S.C. Long Cane Township, he was a widower at age 42, with children: ?RE son age 14 ?Ira son age 12 ?Jessie daughter age 10 ?Josie daughter age 5 ?Marshall son age 3

According to some sources Joe was married at least three times. His first marriage was to a Mary Vance whom he had three children: Harry, Ira, and Jessie. This harry sounds like RE in 1910 census; however, Harry and RE became John Evans, who became my father. So if there are anyone out there with knowledge of the Evans name please notify me or email me.
