Thank-you once again for your help! Yes I did see that one...........

and it could be the one (we know how information can be wrong in the census sometimes) but his family is almost sure John was born a slave in NC about 1850) ..........This John and Dora(Dorah) had a son also named Cleveland. Could also be (Cleveland John or John Cleveland Marshall) born about 1901 in Houston Mississippi.
I do know John was married to other women before Dora. At this time this all I have to go on.
