Hello and thanks for your reply - The Wingfields are a part of the Clements family of Franklin County by marriage - the family is doing their reunion in July and wanted me to help with this - So far I have located THE Major Wingfield at 11 months old in the 1910 census records - I also have his grandfather who happened to be named Major also - and my uncle Major's mother was Sarah - who never married - looking for a clue to Uncle Major's father. The lineage goes like this - Father - Burwell (Byrl), Major Sr, Major the 2nd (description only)who is the uncle the family wants to link - Would like to know any information about the head, Burwell and Julia - There are Wingfield presently residing in Franklin County and most for this family are in the Martinsville Henry area. Anyone searching or have information, it would be greatly appreciated.
