It's time for spring cleaning of the files. Once a year OR when I can't figure out where to start looking, I go in this 4 drawer file cabinet and look at papers that I copied and saved 'in the beginning' of my search. I had no idea what I was copying but if it said, Aberdeen Ms, a surname of my ancestor's, or something about Mississippi slaves, I got a copy. Now that years have passed, I am beginning to understand some of the stuff, that was in those files. I found information about the family groups of the 'white slaveholders'. Mind you I did not think I would need any information about 'those white folks', but I kept it and now it's valuable. So my advice as always, 'do the old school research', Library and paperwork. If your computor breaksdown, you still have research backups. AND REVIEW YOUR FILES.
