I searched for a will at the Norfolk,Va Courthouse, but found nothing; however, I was told by the courthouse staff that Nofolk City,Portmouth City, and Chesapeake City, Viginia were all incorporated together as Norfolk County back in the early 1900's. Therefore I must check all of these city courthouses for will or deed information. Is there a simplier way? Also, my stepgrandmother states that after my grandfather's death, money "willed" by my grandfather, to my mother, was sent via mail.It was sent to my stepgrandmother's address and she delivered it to my mother. This What method of research do you suggest I use to find this information? Thanks for any help or suggestions!
